Last September those strongman days of 100kg and looking rather chunky πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜‚



Although chunky I was strong AF, 140kg squat for 23 Reps, 200kg Deadlift for 15 Reps Raw and 100kg bench for 13 Reps πŸ’ͺ🏻


Currently sitting at 86kg so 14kg difference, not as strong but much happier with my body shape which is important in anyone’s life.


Be confident in your own skin and happy about the way you look. If you’re not then maybe do something about it? πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ.

A great exercise which is massively under utilised in peoples training protocols, yes it’s limited as to how much load you can add to the exercise but as a secondary exercise as part of a superset may be useful to your training πŸ‘ŒπŸ»



Like anything though, focus on form πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

1. Keep your hips up and core engaged (try tightening glutes and squeezing your abs in)



2. Tempo aim to take 2-3 seconds on the eccentric phase of the exercise followed by a 1-2 second concentric phase



3. Don’t try and do some sort of worm like attempt to make love to the floor. Save that for the bedroom not the gym floor πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Creating GOOD healthy habits will make your weight loss journey much easier and sustainable for the future πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Having a routine that you can ADHERE to is the most important thing as consistent habits get you to the end goal πŸ‘πŸΌ

Start off with the basics, such as I’m going to train 3 times a week, compete a 30 minute walk daily (can be 3 lots of 10 minutes) drink 3 litres of water and get 6-7 hours sleep at night 😴

There’s a lot to be said for doing the basics right, now my morning routine consists of a power walk to start the day followed by a breakfast I love and enjoy making it easy to stick to because I enjoy it πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
