Now you hear every reason under the sun in the fitness industry as to why you’re not losing weight..

Starvation mode, basically where you’re body stops losing weight because you’re eating too little.. I repeat you’re body stops losing weight because you’re eating too little 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Carbohydrates, you’ll find that a lot of the fitness pros and “role models” aren’t scared of using an illegal performance enhancer but are scared of a little bit of glycogen 🤷🏻‍♂️

Slow metabolism, now this is a biggie “Genetically I’m pre disposed to not losing weight” I’m afraid not. You’re just lazy, get off you’re ass and move more 🤦🏻‍♂️ Studies have even shown that actually as you get older your metabolism doesn’t slow down that much but you just move less 👎🏼

Sugarrrr! I can’t lose weight because I’ve eaten fruit and it spikes my blood sugar levels and then my body stores fat easier 🤦🏻‍♂️
I love fruit, I eat fruit daily, I even ate fruit all during my prep.. could I lose fat? Yes!

You should never cut out a food group or blame a reason for losing weight, it’s really quite simple as to why you can’t lose weight, you’re probably eating too much 🤷🏻‍♂️

Start by tracking your food intake and being aware of how much food you’re eating, either reduce your intake or increase your activity, one at a time, don’t do both as you want to make this a sustainable lifestyle 💪🏻

Midweek movement!

If you’re not familiar with the 90/90 position then it’s worth investing time in this position, takes a little perseverance and it isn’t the most comfortable but your hips will thank you!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

- Keep chest up and bring naval towards the front heel
- Always rotate round to the back knee
- Complete rotation station in outer most range
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This drill is a great exercise to keep tabs on how well your hips are coping with training and daily demands.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It gets pretty deep into the capsule and can be pretty uncomfortable, especially if you’re lacking internal rotation at the hip (like me) 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you’re struggling to maintain upright posture than put one hand down and bring your back leg towards the front of the body 👍🏻

Getting adequate protein in your diet provides you with the building blocks to recover and repair 💪🏻

If your goal is fat loss then make nutrition your priority, training second.

And no, there is no better training method that 'melts fat fast' or has an 'fat burning afterburn effect' 🙄
